I am a Sci fi fan, no doubt. But if you can cause an unrest in me then you've done a great job. I haven't seen anything like that ever. Machines of such mass and size. I want to give a tight hug to the director, Guillermo del Toro.
Story so thrilling that it can pull you out of your seat. Mammoth aliens, kaijus are trying to put an end of Earth. But the marshal(Idris Elba), even after getting a no from every country's government decides to fight a lone battle. Then our hero arrives, Raleigh(Charlie Hunnam). And when hero comes no villain can persist.
The movie is a perfect package : sci-fi, love story, emotions, action, adventure, patriotism, and everything you look for in such movies.
Its a high budget movie and costs $190,000,000 (estimated). Its graphics and VFX were out of the world.
Screenplay, music, script, characterization, all awesome. Dialogues could have been better. But keeping in mind its a sci fi thriller, makers can be forgiven for that.
Charlie Hunnam did a great job as Raleigh. Idris Elba was a masterpiece. Rinko Kikuchi as Mako looked stunning. Charlie Day and Burn Gorma's comic timings were upto the mark. For actiong i'll give a 4.5.
Overall a nice package. Must watch.

Directed by Abhishek Varman 2 states was a average movie for me. I've read 2 states novel by Chetan Bhagat, from which the movie was adapted. And if i compare it with novel it was a less entertaining version of it.
If you haven't read 2 states then you'll may find it a good movie.
Story undoubtedly is the best part. However, some part of the novel has been deducted. The movie must have been a cake make for the director as the scenes are a ditto copy of the novel. Screenplay was average, script unimpressive, dialogues copied, i found nothing new i can praise of.
The only person happy with the movie must be Chetan Bhagat.
Best part were the songs. Arijit singh and Benny Dayal's hit tracks did a impressive promotion for the movie. Uffo and Locha-e-Ulfat were hit even before the release.
When it comes to acting it was average. Rohit Roy as Krish's father was the only actor i could see. Arjun Kapoor, keeping in mind that he's a beginner did a very good jod. Amrita Singh also did a pretty nice job as a typical punjabi mother. Alia Bhatt was a hell. South Indian parents did great, although.
In India, love stories are really praised. And movies like DDLJ had already set a standard. Therefore, creating anything of that level is a really difficult task.
All in all 2 states is decent movie. Must be watched at least once. Not a multiple watch.

When i entered the movie hall i was very excited. The movie was going smooth. But i didn't find any spark in it. The dialogues were the best part. And protagonist Priyanka Chopra too good. She was worth watching. Her acting was too good.Her command and her accent all great. Apart from her no one was able to leave a mark when it comes to acting.
Screen play was decent, story quite nice, script was crisp, all in all the movie was a nice package.
It was not good as Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, may the story was not as strong. But you can't fix it since its a biopic.
Songs were one of the most significant part of the movie. Salim-Suleiman duo did a great job. The song Ziddi was already a hit before the release. Salaam India was again heart touching. Salim Merchant's voice was stunning.
In India, woman centric movie are hardly made. A movie like Mary Kom is an inspiration to all the sports women in India who are often forbidden from achieving their dreams.
I'll give it 3.8.

Movie review on Oblivion
It began with a thud and went into a silent mode. UnLike Tom Cruise previous movies it lacked the thrill we look for in his movies.
His acting was awesome, constumes incredible but the concept a little cold. I felt that the director Joseph Kosenski did a great job cause the story lacked thrill. The movie was more romantic than a sci fi thriller.
Now lets come to the technicalities. Screenplay was incredible, dialogues were average but Cruise narration was written very nicely, sound did gave a feel of a science fiction, vfx and graphics amazing and direction of photography also nice.
Acting was the best part. 'The Mission Impossible' star looked amazing as protagonist Jack Harper. Morgan Freeman was as usual at his best. Orga also did a descent job. But the surprise package was Andrea who did a really incredible job as Tom's wife.
Overall the movie was a pleasant watch. Great fiction, graphics, acting but lacked the basics aka the story and script.
From my side it deserves 3.5 stars.
