Best of Sushant, Abhishek Chaubey, Ranvir & Bhumi!
What makes a film to be called as cult or classic? It stays with you after you watch it, stays in your memory till your memory lasts. Abhishek Chaubey is truly a craftsman. He evolves with every film. He makes a film which would be better than his previous films. After an awesome Udta Punjab, he is back to show us dacoits of Chambal.

Having a tremendous cast, the film is absolutely must watch in theaters. What you like is not Cinema, if you want to know the real kind of entertaining and engaging film of 146min, then you should see Sonchiriya. It deals with so many subjects which will blow your heart. Super engaging and full of twists, this film is the best film till now. Also, Sushant Singh Rajput's best film as a performer is this one. You will be with him from start to end. Whatever ideas you may get about climax, this character will stay with you in a positive way. That's why I loved the film to the moon and back.

Bhumi Pednekar is doing great job as an actor in industry. She is fantastic. You will surely feel for her and the little girl with her. Best part of the film according to me is when these are going on boat and title song starts in the divine voice of Rekha Bhardwaj. Followed by the act on which the story of this film is based on, my heart was in my mouth. That was the moment for what I would like to give this film full marks.

Manoj Bajpayee is truly an artist. Mansingh played by him, has so many layers, so much depth, it's upto you how far you can go and take back something which will be useful in life. Ranvir Shorey is doing absolutely fantastic work. The breakdown scene of him is fabulous. The Gujjar Policeman, played by Ashutosh Rana, is class act. Other characters are awesome as well. Casting director deserves his credit for the wonderful cast. Each and every one taches us something. Go and grab it.

Action sequences are damn cool. Good mixutre of slow motion and closeups. I felt the camera was shacky in the beginning. But then it becomes the most engaging tool for us. The haunting scene of a girl for Manoj and Sushant's character are shown very effectively. I too got stumped each time. Also in the night as well.

To do or not to do, that is the question! When Sushant is looking into our eyes. We as an audience is fully connected with him. Can dacoits be good men? What is right and what is wrong! Kudos to Abhishek Chaubey and Sudeep Sharma, for setting a new high for dacoit story. That too without showing how and why they become dacoits, but what do they do being dacoit. Hugely impressed with Bundelkhandi dialogues. All are understandable, if not there are Engliah subtitles as well. Usage of cuss words are pitch perfect, we never heard them speaking intentionally or trying to make fun out of cuss words.

Sonchiriya is having out of the world scenes. Like Sushant riding a camel. Uff the background music is so much soulful. Film has been made superbly that you will not get any idea when your eyes will be getting wet. This is the pure magic of cinema.

As I mentioned above, Sonchiriya title track is pure lit. Vishal Bhardwaj has done great job. Varun Grover has penned lyrics. Sukhvinder Singh's voice will roar in Chambal. This the best album to look out for. Haunting and effectively disturbing.

Book your seats to watch Abhishek Chaubey's best film till date. Support good cinema, it will help you to grow in your life. Curse on your head is the most dangerous thing in the world. And life cycle does not stop for anyone. Everyone wants the golden bird, so be quick to ask for it at ticket window. You will feel proud about the power of a film. And that too our Indian film.

Undoubtedly, The Best. That is why, going for an another time as well.

Ranveer's Rocking Hip-Hop!
Ranveer Singh is known as the most energetic person. He had done a smooth and simple role in Zoya Akhtar's Dil Dhadakne Do. Both were superb there. That made me to watch this film, on first day of its release. Plus, I wanted to see what is the true Indian Hip-Hop.

Yes, true Indian Hip-Hop, which we are not aware of! Rapping means rhythmic poetry. I don't like rap music, also never heard much. But when we hear the meaningful words, the talking of rappers on the beat, true meaning of Hip-Hop music rises while watching the film. The film is about dreams. One could not easily accept the given circumstances by his ancestors. He must try to be there in what he likes, what's his passion. That will lead him to success. And when he has a certain talent, why... why not to use it!

Zoya Akhat has successfully shown Dharavi on celluloid. The 'Meri Gully Mein' song speaks a lot! It's beautifully shot as well. When you have Vijay Raaz, Vijay Verma, Vijay Maurya, Sheeba Chaddha, Kalki Koechlin & Amruta Subhash, you can give a solid backdrop like she has given in this one. Superb support from all. That girl who fights with Alia's character is also superb in one scene.

Siddhant Chaturvedi is being introduced here as MC Sher with a bang. He is too good. Even I would say that the local train and the late night roads of Mumbai also play significant parts. They catch us to dwell with Murad and other characters.

Ranveer Singh is absolutey fantastic. I loved him in DDD. And I am surprised that after Padmavat and Simmba, he still can do this type of role! He is indeed a good actor. Because, I tried very hard to find him in this film, but everytime I found the character- Murad only! Meanwhile, Alia Bhatt is giving her over the top role of her career, which was played by her finely. Audiences are loveing her and her style of doing things unexpectedly. Love her doing rough action in this film!

The soul of the film- Rap and Dialogues. Vijay Maurya has written dialogues. 'Zindagi Me Jo Kuchh Achchha Mile To Use Chuchaap Le Lene Ka!' I loved this line, and wanted to say this to all. This film is a nice work of cinema. Accept it without making any fuss.

Songs are created by various artists. You will be surprised to see Javed Akhtar's name in lyrics' credit. Because of his touch, the songs are absolutely fantastic. Also, like in ZNMD, he has written some poems as well for Murad. Loved that Mod Waali poetry. Doorie song starts like a strike in the heart. And Apna Time Aayega in the end makes the journey a worthy watch.

Based on the street rappers Divine and Naezy, this film talks about a lot of issues. It can be hard for those you are not youngsters. Celebrate the hip hop of India in theaters near you.

Kangana is doing all the great work. Not her career best performance! But she acts superb.
Ankita Lokhande, Danny, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Suresh Oberoi and others are perfect. But I felt that their screen presence were less. Md Zeeshan Ayyub is choosing wrong roles, he must have to realize now.
Disappointed with not so extraordinary dialogues. I have huge expectations from Prasoon Joshi. Also, Vijayendra Prasad has not given up to the mark. Music by Shankar Ehsan Loy is average.
Film stands only on Kangana and Bharat song by Shankar Mahadevan. Apart from these two things, nothing great or even good. VFX is average, too. At last, you can watch it one time, be it in theater or on amazon prime.

Nawaz at his best.
Nawazuddin Siddiqui in and as Thackeray, is a biopic made on the ShivSena leader Bala Saheb Thackeray. The film is directed by Abhijit Panse.

Nawaz has done fantastic job. He is apt for the role. Amrita Rao is doing simply good in the film. Supportive cast has been good, too.

Film is about the journey of a cartoonist Bala Tackeray till he became the Tiger of Maharashtra. The court room scene is fantastically shot and performed. You will forget that he is Nawaz in the getup of Saheb.

The walk on beach at sunset by Thackeray is the best scene of the film. With subtle and dramatic dialogues, the film holds you from start to end. Though, first half is little bit slow to get bored. There are scenes of speeches by Saheb, which are nicely done.

I find the background music very well made. The perfect amount of tunes make the scenes worthy enough to get involved. Also, VFX is done superbly. All will surely appreciate the Thackeray pose in Maharasthra map along with a roaring tiger.

I miss songs in this film. May be songs could have added more pleasure, or even relief in first half. However, the title plus promotional song is good though.

On the whole, witness Nawaz playing Bala Saheb, if you love either of them or both of them. It is good in parts, gripping and enjoyable. And this is not the end, film stops at a point where the screen says- to be continued.

Sara delivers a fine debut in Kedarnath
Abhishek Kapoor is back again with a love story, based in Kedarnath. Starring Sushant Singh Rajput and Sara Ali Khan as lead, this film is Sara's debut film. So all eyes are on her. And the story is also about the flood which happened in 2013, where many lost their everything!

Film is a love story of a pithhu muslim guy with a dauther of a Pandit. Both stay there up in the valley. The story goes softly in the first half. And second half is full of drama. I think there are some unnecessary scenes in the entire movie. But it never becomes boring at any point of time. The flood sequence in the last 20 something minutes are superb. Though VFX could have been better. But you can enjoy the visuals which're threatening.

One scene of water flowing over the main temple had got me the biggest goosebump in recent times. My screen was housefull. And everyone was watching with a pin drop silence in the hall. The film, which is going stronger because of the word of mouth from audiences, as people feel amazing to see those last portion in theaters.

Sara Ali Khan makes her shining debut here. She will probably get all awards of best debut female. She looks stunning in all salwars. Especially in that red salwar in Qafirana song. However, I want to ask the costume designer that why her character doesn't wear any sweater or jacket or shawl despite having seated in Kedarnath! ?

Sushant Singh Rajput is good. Not great or anything! I only liked him in that climax scene. Neetesh Bhardwaj is fine. Others are good. The Baba at valley is superfine!

Music is above average. Amit Trivedi has given the music. Starting with Namo Namo, the cinematography is superb. Qafirana, JaanNisaar and Sweethear are nicely written songs. So, first time I am listening to Amitabh Bhattacharya's lyrics who are greater than music. Wow. Arijit Singh always rocks in any film!

Story is by Kanika Dhillon and Abhishek Kapoor. I would say they could have created more depth in characterisation. We can't feel for them. It could have been made a better film. Also didn't like the cliche helicopter scene. ? Dialogues are not good, as I can sense that the heroine is not a Pandit girl in real but a muslim girl, beacause of her accent. Sushant is having lesser urdu words than Sara. This could have to be done rightly.

I have been there at Kedarnath four years before this tragedy happened. I have seen the beautiful valleys. I have experienced the cold out there. And more of the above, the holyness of the temple and its surrounding. So, I went to watch this film to revisit Kedarnath. However, it is impossible for anyone to showcase look a like Kedar on screen of before the year 2013. This team have tried their best. But how can I be so amazed with this world in the movie!

On the whole, you should definitely go for this film. Because Sara has given fine performance and location needs eyesights. Watch this film in theaters only, because you can't watch it at home anyday! This film is happened to be seen on big screens. Not great, not bad. But, surely watchable.
