By far one of the most gripping anime that I have ever set my eyes on. This anime has an amazing plot with some equally well written characters. The tug of war between Light Yagami and L drives this anime and make the storyline truly unpredictable. No wonder this anime has such a huge fanclub.

Room is the story about a mom (Joy) and his 5 years old son (Jake). The story is about how they survive in a small room where they are kept as prisoners by this guy (Ned). Jake has never seen the world outside, and is totally unaware of it. This movie showcases not only their life in the room, but also the problems that they face once they set themselves free. This movie is a rollercoaster of joy and immense sadness. I believe this movie can make even the most stone-heart person cry. I recommend this movie strongly.

This series grabs you by the first episode. This series has a perfect plot, Dexter Morgan is a serial killer living in Miami, and he works as the blood splatter analysist for Miami metro, it’s the same department in which his sister works as a cop, unfortunately, department also has Sergeant Doakes who for some reason gets creeps from Dexter. Dexter is a hollow man who feels no emotion but can pretend them very well, thanks to the code taught to him by his foster dad, Harry. The best parts of this series are when Dexter takes you inside his head and show you what it’s truly like to be him. This series always keeps you glued to it with its pace and amazing storytelling. Watch out for the ice truck killer.

Dead poets society set in 1959, at Welton Academy, an elite boarding school of United States. In a school that stands on the pillars of Tradition, honor, discipline and excellence, enters Mr. John Keating, the new English teacher, whose interactive methods of teaching makes a hero out of him on the eyes of a group of students. Keating teaches his students to live their life to the fullest and encourages them to suck all the marrow of life. Keating is the kind of teacher we all wish to have.

The Perks of Being a Wallflower is based on the bestselling novel of the same name. The movie is about Charlie, who struggles at high school because of his quiet and outcast nature. His life transforms, when a group of seniors take him in and decide to help him with his problems. This movie breaks all moulds of an average coming-of-age story, hence, makes it a must watch. This movie is specially suggested to all the rock n’ roll fans out there because it has amazing soundtracks and references that would mesmerize you to the core. P.S. I knew the tunnel song all along.

Director Damien Chazelle’s masterpiece is about Andrew, a talented young drummer, who wants to be the best in the world. He gets enrolled into the prestigious Schaffer Conservatory. Fletcher, the best music instructor of the academy, also known for his horrifying teaching methods, notices Andrew, and invites him to play in his band. This drama takes you through barks, abuses, tears, accidents and blood, yet fills you with inspiration in the end. This movie showcase above average acting skills from Miles Teller and J.K. Simmons. Now that's quite my tempo!

Udaan is a heart touching story about a boy Rohan, who is expelled from his boarding school. He returns home and meets his rigorous alcoholic dad, Bhairav Singh; who never in last eight years came to meet him in his boarding school. He also comes to know that he has a six years old brother about whom he never knew. This story is about Bhairav Singh’s attempts to strangle Rohan in chains, and Rohan’s zest to break free. Watching this movie is like reading a beautiful poetry; watch it to find out

The movie is about the guy, Walter Sparrow, an ordinary dog catcher. On his birthday, his wife gifts him a novel, titled ‘23’. As he starts to read, he slowly starts to relate himself, with the protagonist and his obsession with the number 23. Walter gets so obsessed with the novel that he could drag almost anything back to the number 23. He also starts to feel that the novel is roughly based on his own life. This is the most underrated movie that I have seen next to the movie ‘Soundtrack’. Also watch this movie for Jim Carrey’s stunning acting talent.
