A romantic cliche spread across space.
The Space Between us is the story of a young teenage boy who happens to reside in a colony of humans on Mars and his search for his father, presumably on earth. The whole picturization was breathtaking, but dewy-eyed teenagers failed to provide some much-needed gravity to what could otherwise have been a fabulous movie. The movie is filled with cliches, and I will take turns with each of them: #1. Women are from Venus and (you saw this coming), Men are from (yup) MARS! #2. What is the first snack space boy eats after landing on earth? That's right 'MARS'! #3. If you love someone, you cross oceans, but because you live on another planet, you cross space.
