The Matrix is clearly the benchmark of all sci-fi films to come. Though complicated in plot, it rouses a non-abatable sense of self-belief within one’s self making acts like dodging bullets plausible least jumping from rooftop to rooftops of skyscrapers. The Wachowski brothers have shown excellence in more than one departments, whether it be script writing or directing, into making a movie which is not only immensely entertaining but also intriguingly philosophical .The whole concept in itself shakes up the very roots of believing the authenticity of the world we live in.
Fighting sequences in the movie are the epitome of thrill and excitement, something which was previously like the patent of Chinese kung-Fu movies. Keanu Reeves does a great job in portraying the protagonist Neo who is uneasy and vulnerable. Laurence Fishburne and Carrie Anne Moss were successful in doing proper justice with their characters; but the show stealer was clearly Hugo Weaving in the avatar of the wicked Agent Smith. It was phenomenal to see an agent show human traits of anger, hatred, dread and even sly humour. The effects in the movie are simply stunning which is proven time and again whenever the exact fighting sequences are spoofed in a Bollywood movie.
Hence in My Opinion: Undoubtedly my favourite movie in this genre
For my Part-time movie lovers: A must Watch
What’s the BHOKALLi MOMENT: When Neo realises he is the one!

The Matrix...when I first heard about it, I expected just another sci-fi action thriller. Good and filled with insane stunts, but not terribly intelligent.
Boy, was I wrong. Oh, the stunts are there in spades, all right, and yes, they are awesome. And the special effects are absolutely amazing (even if similar ones have been used in other movies as a result- and not explained as well).
But the movie has plot as well. It has characters that I cared about. From Keanu Reeves' excellent portrayal of Neo, the man trying to come to grips with his own identity, to Lawrence Fishburne's mysterious Morpheus, and even the creepy Agents, everyone does a stellar job of making their characters more than just the usual action "hero that kicks butt" and "cannon fodder" roles. I cared about each and every one of the heroes, and hated the villains with a passion. It has a plot, and it has a meaning...and lo and behold, a plot does help the fight scenes! Just try it, if you haven't seen the movie before. Watch one of the fight scenes. Then watch the whole movie. There's a big difference in the feeling and excitement of the scenes- sure, they're great as standalones, but the whole thing put together is an experience unlike just about everything else that's come to the theaters. Think about it next time you're watching one of the more brainless action flicks...think how much better it COULD be.
All I can say is WATCH THIS MOVIE. If you haven't, you're missing out on one of the best films of all time. It isn't just special effects, folks.

One of the best scifi films ever made.
An absolute thriller with some of the best works of animation and graphics in its time,it has set a benchmark for scifi movies.
The film tells us the story of Thomas Anderson a computer hacker that in the world of hacking goes by the alias of Neo. It is a realizations dawn for him when he is contacted by the mysterious Morpheus, having always questioned his own reality and existence, he realizes that the world he's been living in is a simulated reality called the Matrix and that he's nothing more than a slave in this dystopian world, created and controlled by A.I powered machines.

Matrix trilogy is a series of three films that depicts a war between man and artificial intelligence. The story of virtual reality gone out of control. The movie is technically mind-blowing, the performances are top notch. The plot and concept is intense. There is a fine balance between the plot and the execution of it. The fight scenes are amazing. Is life real or imagination, matrix forces us to think. What if we are all a created reality whose whole function has gone wrong. There is drama, action, emotions, content, and spirituality and all of it is properly blend resulting in an amazing movie.
