When larcenous real estate clerk Marion Crane goes on the lam with a wad of cash and hopes of starting a new life, she ends up at the notorious Bates Motel, where manager Norman Bates cares for his housebound mother. The place seems quirky, but fine… until Marion decides to take a shower.

Amazing thriller!
Psycho is a very interesting thriller. It is the story of Marion Crane who steals money from her boss and flees Phoenix, Arizona to start a better life with her boyfriend. She however makes the mistake of stopping at Bates Motel which is owned by Norman Bates and his mother. All actors are amazing and the tension is palpable. The only complaint I had was that it takes too long for the story to buildup. But Psycho undoubtedly remains one of Hitchcock's best. |
