Empire of the Sun Plot
The story of young English boy who lives with his parents in Shanghai during World War II. After the Pearl Harbor attack, the Japanese occupy the Shanghai International Settlement, and in the following chaos Jim becomes separated from his parents.

This is one of Steven Spielberg's very best. The movie also marks Christian Bale's debut in hollywood. A heartwarming story of an English boy who struggles to survive in Shanghai after it is conquered by the Japanese during the World War II. A really power packed performance by young Bale. |
