Really good and interesting Bollywood hate-to-love movie. Some echoes of Romeo and Juliet as the two families are pitted against each other in the local elections, one family is Muslim, and the other Hindu. Parma is the youngest grandson, and extremely hot-headed and impulsive. The opening scene has him torching the warehouse of a gas merchant to "teach him a lesson" for selling fuel to the opposing family. That gets him a slap upside the head from his grandfather. Zoya is also the youngest of her clan, and she first encounters Parma when he is urinating on her father's election poster at her college. She confronts Parma, and doesn't flinch an eyelash when he points a gun right at her... |
