It's trying to be a Clueless/Emma remake and it mostly worked for me. I kind of have a soft spot for Abhay Deol. And Sonam is winning me over. She was annoying to me in Khoobsurat, but being the fashion plate Emma is pretty perfect for her.
The ending though where she makes the speech? Meh. I can't completely remember the ending of Clueless, but I don't think Aisha measured up. What works better for Aisha than Clueless is the arranged marriage background and more class divisions inherent in India.
