    One of 2018's best!
Probably one of the finest films of 2018. Definitely among the top 10 films of 2018.
The Ballad of Buster Scruggs - simply said - is anthology movie done right.
The Coen brothers recreate the old-western setting after the Civil War for their anthology film. This film chronicles 6 stories in the book he Ballad of Buster Scruggs and Other Tales of the American Frontier with the illustration of each story. Tim Blake Nelson delivers one of his finest performances yet as Buster Scruggs. James Franco, Liam Neeson are as good as any of their other movies.
Audience has received a great western film after a very long time and the narration and cinematography and color just garnishes the well-written script. The ending is masterfully done and ties all the stories together.
It is definitely a must-watch film of 2018!

    Must-watch
Christopher Nolan has done it again. This time with a very unusual genre.
This movie chronicles the condition of the Allied soldiers when they were stuck at the Dunkirk beach, waiting for evacuation. Nolan, with his amazing storytelling, has recreated the tragedy and is going to laugh all the way to the bank.
This film tells the story of the soldiers trapped on the Dunkirk beach in 1940 and follows the journey of Tommy (Fionn Whitehead), Alex(Harry Styles) and Gibson(Aneurin Barnard) as they try to survive the constant bombarding, sinking and everything that's happening around them. With Mark Rylance playing the brave captain of the rescue ship, Cillian Murphy playing the survivor with PTSD, Tom Hardy shooting down the planes - this film is brilliantly scripted and well-directed.
With his regular cast - Tom Hardy, Cillian Murphy, and with the brilliant Mark Rylance, Kenneth Branagh, James D'Arcy, Nolan has brought the story of Dunkirk to life. With the constant ticking sound in the background throughout the film, building up the tension, this film is nothing less than an edge-of-the-seat thriller. With Hans Zimmer painting each scene with emotions, this film is a must-watch.

    BRILLIANT!
    He's back!
Michael Myers - the name, when heard, sent chills to spine of everyone who grew up watching Halloween (1978) and the disaster sequels that followed the years, is back. And this time, it's an homage to the classic 1978 flick.
40 years since the Halloween night when Laurie was attacked, Michael Myers (the brilliant James Jude Courtney) has escaped the prison to complete the unfinished task - kill Laurie Strode. This version recreates the tension, the horror, the gore with amazing acting, background score. Audience are in for a treat this winter because we have a brilliant slasher/thriller flick after a long time. From the moment the legendary Halloween theme plays after a dramatic scene of all the psychopaths being affected by Myers' mask reassure that this time you will get what you came for. Jamie Lee Curtis (Laurie) is fierce and conveys the audience that for the past 40 years, she has been waiting for Myers to return - so that she could kill him. Many of the scenes are a throwback to the classic flick and reminds the franchise fans of the horror of the original film. The music is astounding to say the least.
Watch the classic Halloween (1978), skip all the disastrous sequels and WATCH THIS ONE.
Surely, this movie is not for the faint-hearted and is a must-watch!

    Brilliant
This film, like its earlier versions, solely relies upon the acting of its stellar cast as there's nothing new to add to the story. Kenneth Brannagh plays Detective Hercule Poirot in this classic whodunit film. Johnny Depp is brilliant as always and Michelle Pfeiffer steals the show with her amazing acting.
The haunting vocals of Pfeiffer in various tracks stay with you a long time after you are done watching it. Beautiful cinematography, fast pace, haunting music, stellar cast - ingredients for a great time.
With everyone a suspect, hop on this express with great care!

I started watching Doctor Who when Matt Smith was the doctor. Just out of curiosity as to why it was Dr. 'WHO', I started 'Rose' - and my life was never the same again.
Doctor Who has been a large part of Generation X while growing up. Even right now, the audience comprises of the ones who watched the original Dr. Who along with a few who joined in after its 2005 reboot ergo me. Being a millennial, I would have cared less about some old guy, with funky scarves and hats, travelling in a box with some random people; but all that changed when I watched that smiling Eccleston face. David Tennant reminded people of Tom Baker(arguably the best Doctor), Matt Smith brought that young charisma with this adorable bow-ties, Peter Capaldi brought the much needed seriousness to the role, fitting right in the mould of the Doctor - who destroyed his own planet to save the universe. However, with this, the mould was broken and we got the first ever female doctor - the brilliant Jodie Whittaker.
The current Doctor Who series has been sort of mixed-bag for the audiences. Jodie has done a great job so far and crushing her critics' opinions that a female can't be a Doctor. Chris Chibnal took over the reigns from Steven Moffat (Sherlock) and has managed to surpass the expectation from the doctor. Though the story has been mundane at many points, the Doctor (Whittaker) along with her 'friends' (yes - no 'companions' this time) have managed to compensate for it. The background score for this season needs a special mention because Alec Roberts killed it in Demons of the Punjab with its haunting score.
We have had a good share of emotional episodes till now with the first episode resulting in Ryan's nan's death; Rosa Parks episode, the partition of India in 'Demons...' episode; however, we are yet to see a Dalek or Cyberman worthy aliens.
With still 5 episodes to, it remains to be seen whether Chibnal will introduce a legendary monster in his series or will the 11th season go down as the most emotional/mundane season in the long and glorious history of Doctor Who.
